Sheela has been a sport and has continued The Conversation for over 20 days now. She was interviewed by Shoma Chaudhary at The Quorum in Gurgaon. A beautiful place, amazing food and warm hospitality.
A lot of people have been asking me as to why sheela is here and how much did she charge for her visit – I would like to answer all of them that i did not know sheela at all 4 months ago, i wrote her an email after watching Wild Wild Country and she was very kind to accept the invitation without any demands or crazy celeb tantrums.

All she said to me was “i travel with two people due to my age, in case you do not have the budget for their ticket i shall book their flights”, these two friends of sheela have been with her for over 2 decades and take care of her. On asking her if she needs a Business class, she very gracefully declined and laughed while saying, “i am not a business woman i am happy to travel like normal people do.”

Sheela has signed an exclusivity contract with me without asking for a penny, she has accepted the invitation remembering what her father told her – “Whenever you have a chance to speak or write you must as your past experiences should not be locked, a lot of people can learn from that” hence sheela is in India after 34 years. Infact the royalty that comes through the books published in India sheela reverts that money to charities in India.
