Over 300 women & girls attended our menstrual hygiene workshop held at Majdoor Bada, Topsia in Kolkata. Organized by Humans for Humanity in collaboration with Dava India and a local clinic of Surgical Mates, the workshop aimed to educate women about menstrual hygiene.
Led by Dr. Ononna Das a gynecologist and a nutritionist, the workshop addressed taboos surrounding menstruation and highlighted symptoms that could harm women’s health. The session also included a Q&A segment. Sanitary pads and food packets were distributed, followed by a health check-up camp.
It was heartening to witness the joy and curiosity displayed by the women during the workshop. This collaborative effort underscores our commitment to promoting women’s health and well-being.
